Three new papers this autumn
news
Three papers came out over September and October, all with EPR at their core.
- Sterically shielded nitroxide biradicals, in Chemical Physics. Six biradicals on a bicyclic nitroxide core, where different diastereoisomers turn out to have very different exchange coupling. One of them works as a DNP agent, with an enhancement factor of 18 in both 1H MAS and 1H → 13C CP MAS.
- Linker effect in TEMPO-based radicals and diradicals, in Russian Chemical Bulletin. How the linker between two TEMPO units sets the exchange and dipolar coupling, from EPR in liquid and frozen solutions, relaxation measurements and quantum chemistry.
- A V22 cyclic coordination cluster, in Polyoxometalates. A giant mixed-valent vanadium(III,IV) ring that, despite its size, has a small triplet ground spin state, and is visible by EPR.
All three are on the Publications page.
